DRDP in ChildPlus: Falling in ‘Love’ with Instant Reports

Encompass Community Services (ECS) from Santa Cruz, California spoke with ChildPlus to explain how their agency utilizes this invaluable assessment.

Because the DRDP^© in ChildPlus is an all-in-one system, it has reduced the amount of time ECS spends recording child assessments. “[With our old child assessment], you have to import children before recording assessments, and we only do that every two weeks,” ECS said. “So, with the DRDP^©, the teacher is able to begin working with the child immediately.” With the DRDP^© in ChildPlus, agencies no longer have to keep two separate systems in sync as children enroll, transfer, or leave the agency throughout the year. Having the assessment directly in ChildPlus allows teachers to instantly begin observations the second a child enters the classroom.
