Making the Most of the DRDP©

You’ve decided to make the switch to the DRDP© in ChildPlus, but what’s the next step? This guide will provide you with an overview of what to expect during your first 30 days.

Let’s Start

As soon as you make the choice to switch to the DRDP©, you’ll need to start our multi-phase process to make sure your agency is ready.

You will work with your Account Executive to finalize your contract and choose a date when you want the DRDP© activated in your ChildPlus database. Once the Account Executive receives your contract, they will activate the DRDP© in your ChildPlus database. Our DRDP© Specialist will email you within a couple of days with a link to schedule an initial 30 minute phone call.

After purchasing the DRDP assessment in ChildPlus, we offer a FREE orientation. This orientation is designed to help you navigate the DRDP assessment setup in ChildPlus Desktop. Upon completion of the orientation, our goal is for your agency to experience a seamless transition and start using the DRDP assessment module immediately.

Why do I need a DRDP© Orientation session?
We recommend all new DRDP© users take advantage of the free orientation session to ensure that your assessment is configured based on your agency's needs before you start entering data. This will ensure long-term success with the DRDP© assessment.
Should we set up training sessions before or after the DRDP© Orientation process?
We recommend starting your DRDP© orientation session before completing training, because this ensures you don't have to spend time during your training to cover topics that are included in the free orientation.
How long before my teachers can start using the DRDP©?
Teachers can begin using the DRDP© assessment right away after setup! However, we highly recommend teachers receive training before starting to use the DRDP© assessment in ChildPlus. To schedule training, please contact ChildPlus University. Please note, our training dates fill up quickly so please contact them at least 6 weeks in advance.
What is CECO?
CECO is the California Early Childhood Online, a product of California Department of Social Services that provides free access to professional development modules. CECO supports early childhood teachers with learning “modules based on state-of-the-art information and best practices in one centralized location to meet the ever-changing needs of the early childhood field.”
Do I have to be an Early Childhood Teacher in California to have free access to CECO’s resources?
No, anyone can use and benefit from their state-of-the-art information and best practices materials and resources
If I need assistance with CECO, who should I contact?
